VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology
Course Facilitator: Christine Stilgoe
Introduction:
The Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology provides a broad & detailed coverage of human anatomy & physiology. Physical treatments provided by therapists affect the structures & systems of the body. Safe & effective treatments require therapists to have a rudimentary knowledge of anatomy & physiology.
The Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology is designed to meet the needs of the therapist undertaking physical treatments; it offers a broader & more in depth coverage of anatomy & physiology than that found in the units of therapy skill qualifications at levels 2 & 3.
It provides candidates with an opportunity to deepen & widen their knowledge in a broadly contextualised qualification that is related to therapy treatments, in a way that will expand their professional expertise when dealing with therapy clients.
The substantial nature of this course will also provide evidence of a candidate’s ability to learn at this level, if they wish to apply to pursue a higher education programme. It is also a mandatory requirement for VTCT Level 3 Diplomas in Holistic & Sports qualifications.
Course Duration:
The diploma can be run along-side an ongoing qualification & will then need to be completed within the timescale of the co-ordinating course.
The diploma can alternatively be undertaken on its own as home study, & can be completed within a year, although a target completion date of 4-6 months is recommended.
