VTCT – IHBC Level 2 Certificate in Nail Art

Introduction:
Nail Art services are very profitable & viable treatments to offer clients. Whether you are a salon based therapist, work from home or are mobile, these treatments are much sought after. This qualification will enable candidates to provide professional nail art services to both natural & artificial nails.
This fun one day course will cover a range of attractive designs & techniques which can be applied to the nails with stunning results, often bringing out the creative side in you!
The Level 2 Certificate in Nail Art is an ideal qualification to add to any existing nail services which you may offer i.e. manicure, pedicure, nail enhancements.
Entry requirements:
Level 2 Certificate in manicure or equivalent
There is a pre-requisite requirement of units VR02/74 to this qualification, which can be completed simultaneously.
VR02 – Support Health, Safety & Security in the Workplace
VR74 – Support Employment Standards
Course content:
VR72 – Provide a Nail Art Service
Areas of study:
- Introduction to Nail art
- Contra-indications
- Contra-actions
- Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Related Anatomy & Physiology – the nail
- Techniques to include:
- rhinestones
- foil
- striping tape
- glitter dust (stained glass)
- flatstones
- jewellery
- transfers
- marbling
- opalescent blending
- hand painting
- water release transfers
- Professional consultation, treatment planning & record keeping
Students are required to complete case study treatments in addition to theory tasks, practical & theory assessments.
All students are to wear professional salon work wear for class attendance & assessments.

This intensive course is 1 full day plus 1 assessment day

Course cost:
The complete cost of the course is £100.00 plus £50.00 Assessment fees
This includes full private tuition & certification fees
A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 is required to secure your place.
Students will be required to purchase a nail art kit in order to complete case study requirements. Kits can be purchased at the centre if required.
Approx. cost of kit: £50
If kits are required they must be ordered & paid for in full at application.
A lifetime registration fee of £15.00 will be required for students not previously registered with VTCT
An additional cost of £70.00 is required for candidates completing units VR02/ VR74 alongside this course
Course Certification & Insurance:
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the VTCT – IHBC Level 2 Certificate in Nail Art
You will be able to apply for full Professional & Public Indemnity Insurance to enable you to start working in Professional Practice straight away.
Successful Candidates will also receive the Healing Hands, School of Natural Therapies Certificate in Nail Art.
